The qualified candidate MUST have one year experience in medical health office registration, benefits and eligibility verification, familiarity with medical terminology and experience of EHR systems.

Greet and register patients in office.
Collect co-pays and balances at check-in/check-out and post payments in EHR system.
Schedule appointments and procedures Maintain effective and efficient patient flow for the office.
Check-in and check-out patients in a timely and organized manner, and answer and manage calls effectively in a fast-paced multi-line phone system.
Verify and update patient demographic information including creating and maintaining patient records in EHR system.
Scan and upload patient medical records including labs, x-rays, test results and other documents to the correct patient charts.
Fax and photocopy patient documents, obtain and send medical records to and from providers, insurance companies and/or pharmacies.
Verify eligibility, benefits and coverage of patients' insurances.
Manage patients or patients' families in a calm and respectful manner in time of distress in-person and on the phone.
Respond to phone calls, messages and emails in a courteous, professional and timely manner.
Follow and maintain best practices front desk standards as defined by practice and perform other related tasks or duties as necessary.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
Eclinical works (ECW) experience is a preferred.
Associate or Bachelor's degree is a plus.
MINIMUM one years of Patient Access Representative experience in a physician office/clinic setting.
Gastroenterology or specialty physician practice experience is a plus.
MUST have two years' experience in medical health office registration, benefits and eligibility verification, and familiarity with medical terminology.
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office application (Word, Excel and Outlook) Possess exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal/oral and written, in-person and over the phone.
Capable of interacting with, and relating to, people of varying educational levels and backgrounds, conveying information clearly and succinctly, responsiveness, empathy, and confidentiality.
Able to properly perform multiple duties at once in a fast-paced environment - greeting, responding to phone calls, taking messages, checking patients in/out, assisting physicians as needed - while maintaining attention to detail and customer service to patients.
